Kappa Alpha Psi, a college Fraternity, was founding on January 5, 1911. The Fraternity was founded in 1911 with the motto of “Achievement In Every Field Of Human Endeavor”.

Objectives
Every member commits to the five objectives of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. which are:
- To unite college men of culture, patriotism and honor in a bond of fraternity
- To encourage honorable achievement in every field of human endeavor.
- To promote the spiritual, social, intellectual, and moral welfare of its members.
- To aid the aims and purposes of colleges and universities.
- To inspire to service in the public interest.
The commitment to achievement and fulfilling our objectives is synonymous with the fraternity, it’s chapters, related entities and most importantly each and every member of Kappa Alpha Psi.

The chapter is actively involved in community service and youth development. They host annual events such as the Black & White Ball Extravaganza, which serves as a fundraiser and community gathering. Additionally, they offer scholarships to local students through their Education Foundation, with the 2025 scholarship application period currently open.
The chapter maintains an active presence on social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, where they share updates on events and community initiatives.
The Fort Myers Alumni Chapter operates as a nonprofit organization, with its Education Foundation recognized as a 501(c)(3) entity. According to Charity Navigator, the foundation was established in 2009 and is headquartered in Fort Myers, FL.
